WOOD COUNTERTOP INSPIRATION
We’re in the final stages of finishing our wood countertop for the cabin kitchenette (it has yet to be sanded in the photo above), so I thought it would be helpful to share some of the inspiration that helped us decide to use the white oak we already had in the workshop.
We debated using stone and other wood species (namely walnut) for the space, however, after budget considerations stone was ruled out. Then a little bit of creative thinking helped us see that the white oak we had originally bought for another project would actually be the perfect answer for the sleeping cabin.
It will bring warmth and texture to the space and the light tones will pair beautifully with the deep brown cabinets we’ll be installing underneath.
Here are some of the kitchens featuring wood countertops that prove an oak worktop can be refined and sophisticated in any kitchen space.
